We have four themes for the 2024/25 season.
Images entered into the competitions must be taken any time on or after 1 June 2024. You may two images into each round.
LIGHT
The photographer must creatively use various light sources and techniques to enhance their composition. Entries will be judged on creativity, technical execution, and innovative use of light.
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY WITH COLOUR
The photographer must use colour creatively and skilfully to emphasise a “Street Photography” scene. Images cannot be ALL monochrome or black and white. Entries will be judged on creativity, technical execution, and innovative use of colour.
SUBJECT / COMPOSITION
The photographer must demonstrate a skill and understanding of subject selection and effective use of composition within their image. Entries will be judged on creativity, technical execution, and innovative composition.
OVERLAY / TEXTURES
The photographer must explore the use of overlaying textures on his/her photos to add depth and interest. Entries will be judged on creativity, technical execution and the innovative use of texture. Textures have no time limit and the texture overlay may not even be their own work.

When titling your photographs for judges and competitions, you should follow these simple guidelines:
1. **Clarity**: Choose a title that clearly reflects the subject or theme of the photograph.
2. **Conciseness**: Keep the title brief and to the point.
3. **Relevance**: Ensure the title enhances understanding or emotional connection with the photograph.
4. **Avoid Clichés**: Steer clear of overly generic or clichéd titles unless they add unique context.
Your image should be titled in the following format {membership number}_{title}.jpg
