Update from Ross:
This Thursday 7th December is the last opportunity to drop off items (Prints and Equipment) to sell at the Christmas Market this Sunday 10th December.
Equipment should be priced at £50.00 or less. If the item is above £50.00, the owner will need to be present throughout the day until such time as the item is sold.
KCC has decided to have an indoors stall at this year’s Xmas market to be held on Sunday 10th December from 1030 to 1500. Our stall will be upstairs in the Town Hall. We will be allowed to sell anything Photography related.
Members are invited to sell both prints and equipment. In order to keep things running smoothly, we need to have a few simple rules in place.
Prints: All prints should be labelled with both the owners name and price requested (if mounted, write in pencil on the back of the mount). We will purchase a sufficient quantity of Peel and Seal Cellophane envelopes in advance and thus protect prints from grubby hands.
Equipment: You are welcome to offer anything camera related for sale. If the requested price is under £50, you can simply leave the piece of equipment with the KCC sales team. If the requested price is over £50 then you need to be present at all times.
We will endeavour to staff the stall with 3 people at all times. Purchases will be recorded in a ledger. Payment will be taken, either in cash. Cheques will not be accepted. KCC will take a 10% cut of all purchases. KCC will accept no responsibility for damage of any sort to any item offered for sale.
Items to be offered for sale should be brought along on either Thursday 30th November or Thursday 7th December. High value items (see Equipment section) should be brought along, in person, on the day.
Staffing Set up will be from 0930 onward. The Market will end at 1500, and we can assume dismantling things will take another 30 minutes. We can thus break the day into three two-hour slots: 0930-1130, 1130-1330 and 1330-1530. We require at least 9 volunteers to fill these time slots. A sign-up sheet will be in place at Abbey Row on Thursday evening.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask a committee member.
